No puedo instalar ningun programa (solucionado)
Hola recien me inicio en Linux. Toy usando Kubuntu por ahora.
No puedo instalar nada ni usar gedit siquiera. denme una ayudita porfa.

se me olvido decir q probaras con " sudo kwrite /etc/apt/sources.list " o con "sudo kate /etc/apt/sources.list" o en el menu , busca algo relacionado con sistema y busca . origenes del sistema y habilitas todo. en la primera ventana y listo . no te olviddes de recargar y de haceru n update via consola.
gracias al menos con el kwrite y el kate resulta mas facil editar el sources.list
Una pregunta a q te refieres con recargar? bueno lo de hacer un update si sé.
Lo que pasa es que estas tratando de usar una aplicacion que no viene en Kubuntu por defecto. Gedit viene en Ubuntu con GNOME, en cambio para Kubuntu está Kate.
Usa Kate como tu editor de notas.
En cuanto a que no puedas instalar muchas aplicaciones es porque tu repositorio está pasando por alto los lugares de donde puedes conseguir paquetes (eso porque tienes un "#" delante de cada linea.
Dirigete a Menú K -> Sistema -> Adept: Menú 'Adept' -> Sub-Menú 'Gestionar los Repositorios': y asegurate de marcar las opciones Main, Universe, Restricted y Mu.ltiverse
Este procedimiento es necesario para poder tener acceso completo a los repositorios (programas) que ofrece KUbuntu.
Con esto ya podrás instalar muchas mas aplicaciones de las que vienen por defecto en la instalación de Kubuntu.

Entre hasta "gestionar repositoriios" y marque los que dijiste empezo a cargar y todo ok.
Despues seleccione para q instale el amsn y gnome chess.Despues de instalarlos al amsn lo encontre en K menu ->Internet pero cuando pongo el correo la contraseña me sale "error conectandose al servidor" y abajito "reconectandose al servidor" y asi esta varias veces y no entra por lo q le pongo cancelar y no puedo usar el amsn.
Tambien instalé el gnome chess, pero no lo encuentro para poder jugar.
Donde se ubican los programas cuando los instalo para poder usarlos? Bye Scotty.
pero , no seria mejor kopete , es mejor q el amsn, claro si el das una maquillada, aunq lei q el amsn necesita una actualizacion para funcionar . prueba kopete

Con el kopete me sale esto:

Para poder leer mas facil todo mi entorno q esta en ingles q instalo para tenerlo en español???

Por lo primero, parece que 2 aplicaciones están tratando de usar la misma función.
O usas Adept para instalar/actualizar paquetes o usas consola... no puedes tener abiertas las dos cosas al mismo tiempo.
